  • Showed the full RAW after a small camera preview. Files whose embedded preview covers only part of the sensor, such as Sony ARW with its 1616x1080 preview, open with the preview at once and switch to the full decode a moment later, in the same place and at the same size.
  • Kept the phone's own rendering for Pixel and iPhone ProRAW DNG files, whose sensor data would come out darker without the phone's tone curve. Press R to render the full RAW anyway.
  • Fixed a sensor-border crop that could trim real image rows from some RAW files, such as a portrait with a plain wall along one edge.
  • Restyled the Preview / Full RAW marker in the status line to match the rest of the line, shortened its tooltip to the action it performs, and removed the first-run preview hint toast.
  • Added the bottom overlay mode (Nav + Strip, Strip Only, Nav Only, Hidden) to Settings, so it can be chosen there instead of cycling the keyboard shortcut.

  • Added deep zoom for huge PSD, PSB, EXR and striped TIFF files: they are rebuilt once into a tiled proxy in the background, so gigapixel images pan and zoom smoothly instead of decoding the whole frame.
  • Fixed a 16 GB memory spike when going fullscreen on PSB-class files, and stopped re-decoding those formats on resize and zoom.
  • Made HEIC noticeably faster with scaled decoding, instant container thumbnails and a parallel HDR tone map, and showed it progressively instead of holding the previous photo.
  • Fixed a memory leak that grew by one frame per decoded HEIC, PSD or EXR image.
  • Added a per-file RAW toggle (R or A, or the status-line indicator) to switch between the camera's preview and the full RAW decode.
  • Showed a RAW's embedded preview even when it covers only part of the frame, which phone DNG files need, with a marker when the preview is partial.
  • Kept zoom steady on gigapixel images: 100% now means actual pixels, and tiles follow every zoom and pan gesture.
  • Showed AI generation metadata (prompt, model, sampler, seed) in the info panel for Stable Diffusion images, with Copy Prompt and Copy Generation Data in the context menu.
  • Added command-line options: --fullscreen, --slideshow, --interval and --folder, with IrfanView-style / prefixes.
  • Added the EULA: Ember is free for personal use, and any commercial use requires a license.
  • Showed the build year in About, and updated NetVips, SharpCompress and WebView2.
